Carl Higbie Image PHF Story

Latest Update:

Carl Higbie was born in 1983 in southwestern Connecticut. He attended Sacred Heart University until the war on terror was declared. In 2003, Carl dropped out of college, leaving behind a promising wrestling career, and enlisted to become a US Navy SEAL. He completed two combat deployments to Iraq in 2007 and 2009, earning multiple commendations for bravery and leadership.

After returning home, he took a senior training position for his remaining three years of service. During this period, Carl released his first book, “Battle on the Home Front”, which highlighted deep-rooted issues affecting both the military and the political climate in America. His outspoken views led to a highly publicized legal battle over free speech that drew national attentioneven reaching the White House.

Two years after leaving the Navy, Carl emerged victorious in that case, an experience he later chronicled in his second book, “Enemies Foreign and Domestic.” With that success, Carl turned his attention to politics, running for the U.S. Congress in 2014. Though he lost a close race in a five-way contest, his campaign earned recognition for its unapologetic honesty and service-driven message.

Later, Carl served as a senior Presidential appointee under Donald J. Trump, where he played a role in shaping national communications and veterans' policy. After completing his service, he continued to advocate for traditional American values, patriotism, and accountability through his books and public speaking.

He went on to release his third book, “Crisis of Culture,” a thought-provoking work exploring the erosion of common sense, discipline, and integrity in modern America. Carl’s newest book, “Profiles in Freedom,” highlights extraordinary Americans who have stood up for liberty despite personal risk.
